StoneFly strengthens its high availability cluster series for Windows environments with the addition of Voyager WX appliance

StoneFly, Inc., a subsidiary of Dynamic Network Factory has strengthened its high availability cluster series product-line with addition of Voyager WX appliance. This is StoneFly’s fifth generation of high-availability cluster appliance packed with performance, redundancy, scalability and high availability which is highly necessary for Windows environments. Any start-up can start small with Voyager WX and then scale-up up to 4 Petabytes of Tiered storage in parallel to its business growth.

The cornerstone of StoneFly™ Voyager WX IP SAN+ NAS Cluster appliance is its StoneFusion IP SAN operating system. Users can get iSCSI block level provisioning as well as centralized storage management and advanced storage features with the presence of StoneFusion network operating system. The highlight of Voyager WX is that through its IP SAN operating system features such as synchronous campus mirroring, 2520 delta based snapshots per subsystem, and thin provisioning can be obtained by its users. Features such as optimized data deduplication for efficient storage utilization, Volume Shadow Copy Services (VSS) agents for quiescing databases can also be enabled optionally.

StoneFly™ Voyager WX IP SAN + NAS Cluster appliance is enriched with other features such as unlimited concurrent SMB 3.0 connections for Windows Clients, and the inclusion of Windows Storage Server 2012 R2 virtual NAS storage appliance failover cluster configured with NFS and CIFS protocols.

Voyager WX IP SAN + NAS Cluster appliance of StoneFly, Inc., can also be used as a backend appliance as it allows Windows Storage Server to supplement its built-in features such as StoneFly’s elaborate toolbox of enterprise storage management features such as deduplication, replication and snapshots.

StoneFly Voyager WX can also be used as iSCSI/NAS appliance interfaced to conventional workstations, servers and virtualized machines.

VMware, Citrix server and Microsoft Hyper-V virtualized environments are well supported by Voyager WX of StoneFly.

This is an ideal storage for enterprise customers in need of a robust IP SAN with high availability and versatility to serve primary and secondary storage applications at an economical price point.

Coming to hardware specifications, StoneFly Voyager WX IP SAN + NAS appliance comes in a standard configuration with dual hexa-core storage virtualization engines, 32GB of data packet and command queuing cache per cluster node, mirrored OS drives separate from the data storage arrays, RAID cache battery backup for redundancy, quad gigabit Ethernet, Quad Bonded 10GB SFP+ connections per cluster and certified hot swappable power supply modules.

StoneFly Voyager WX is an ideal solution to be used in environments where Zero Downtime is the basic necessity. This includes environments involving online transaction processing, databases, email, disk-based archives, disk to disk backup, VDI, virtual servers and other core business uses.
